Lasso (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Lasso browser extension and our website.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We do not require you to create an account to use Lasso. However, if you contact us via email or a contact form, we collect your email address and any information you choose to provide.

Coupon Clicking

Lasso works in three ways and depending on the store you are using data may be transmitted differently. We attempt to use the least invasive option when possible. No data is transfered to or stored by Lasso.

Everything is local to your computer or communicated directly from your computer to the Store you are attemptin to clip coupons for.

  • DOM Clicks: When you are on a site that supports executing a .click() on a coupon we do that first. This happens locally within your browser
  • API Calls: When clicking does not work, Lasso mirrors the API call your browser would make if you did click on a coupon. This all happens locally on your machine and data is transmitted directly from your computer to the same store owned server the website would cause your browser to make.
  • Automatically: Some stores have embeded iframes which chrome extensions are unable to interact with. Those select sites are the reason we require additional permissions when installing the extension. For those sites when you visit them coupons will be clipped automatically without you having to click the extension again.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Lasso extension:

  • Usage Data: We may collect anonymized data about how you use the extension in order to improve the product.
  • Store Interaction: Lasso only interacts with store websites when you explicitly click the extension to clip coupons. We do not track your browsing history across other sites. Store clicks are stored locally and we do not see them. If you uninstall the extension and reinstall it you will lose your statistics as they are stored locally.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Lasso service.
  • Improve our extension and website functionality.
  • Respond to support requests.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
